Paul Venning
I remember watching my first class rather than taking part, and thought to myself, that looks great fun. Living in Devon, the nearest class to me was in Bristol, so I booked myself a space and traveled a 2 hour round trip for a 45 min class. It was worth every minute and much more! The workout itself was fantastic, like nothing I had experienced before.

More than ten years later, and here I am, with a great team, running two studios, with over 50 bikes offering 25 classes a week! I feel very privileged to be in the position to help others succeed. I would like to believe that I can pass a little of what I have experienced over the last 13 years over to my participants, and that indoor cycling is there to be enjoyed. I am very privileged to have ridden with some of Europe’s top instructors throughout this time, and this has led me on to developing what I feel to be one of the most inclusive indoor cycling programs in the UK today!

I came across Indoor Group Cycling just by chance. The plan had been to do a step class. When I arrived it had been cancelled - but indoor cycling was due in 10 minutes. Here was the dilemma! Stay or go home? I had never taken part in this class before, but heard it was a great workout. So decision made, I took a deep breath and walked in! 45 minutes later. WOW! The class was amazing. I'd had a great work out, but most of all I couldn't wait to come back!

So three years after that first class, here I am as a qualified instructor. I’m now even more passionate about indoor group cycling, because I can see how much the riders are committed to the program.
I get a kick from the anticipation just as the class is about to begin, taking on the challenge of the ride together as a group, and seeing it through to the end.

I have met many wonderful people through the classes and feel proud to see them progress, become healthier, fitter and achieve their goals whatever they may be. The feedback I get is always very positive. I look forward to you joining us soon, don’t forget to check out the promotions page for the latest special offers.

Neil Aggett. (Owner, Manager of the Torquay site)
My first experience of indoor cycling was six years ago with Paul Venning. The main reason I tried the class was to strengthen my right leg, due to an operation on my knee. Not only did Indoor cycling achieve this, but I also lost weight and increased my fitness two fold as-well. This experience led me onto becoming a certified SCHWINN CYCLING coach, and working for Indoor Group Cycling and then in December 2006, taking over the site in Torquay at Winners2000.

Over the last six years I have continued to train and improve my fitness taking up running, more indoor cycling classes and most recently triathlon.
I have competed in many races including 10km road races, half and full Marathons, Olympic distance triathlons and my biggest to date a full Iron man triathlon, incorporating an 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike ride and a full Marathon.

As a coach my energy and passion for cycling will help my participants reach their own individual goals and enjoy the great experience that Indoor Group Cycling provides. It is a great stepping-stone for beginners and experienced trainers, whether you are just starting out on your road to fitness or looking for a fresh new challenge.

Our team at Indoor Group Cycling can set you in the right direction and if confident like me, you will reach your goals! Good luck and I hope you’ll try a class soon.

I came away from my first ever class thinking “WOW” what an amazing workout, a real challenge and so much fun! I get a buzz every time I get on the bike to coach, because I’m committed to helping others achieve their own goals. I like the way after cycling for all these years, every class is different – the music, the journey, the people – and I go away thinking the same as that first ever class!

I Played Badminton at County level in my early 20’s but now my attentions are turned to rowing Cornish Pilot Gigs for River Teign Rowing Club, Competing throughout Devon and Cornwall, and even the Isles of Scilly where the World Championships are held.
I am currently into my third year of undertaking a two-year Foundation Degree in Exercise Science and Fitness (GP Referral) with a third-year ‘Top-Up’ Bsc (Hons) at Plymouth University. I hope at the end of this to secure a role in either the public or private sector of health and fitness promotion. To work alongside other health professionals, promoting the benefits of physical activity and healthy living among the physically inactive and help reduce the incidence of lifestyle risk factors such as Heart Disease, Obesity and Diabetes. I look forward to seeing you at one of our many classes soon, we have so many to choose from.

Hello, I have been a qualified fitness instructor for 21 years.

In this time I have taught many varied classes such as Aerobics, Step, Slide, Resistance, Flexibility, Legs Bums and Tums, Indoor cycling and Jazz dance classes. I have also been an in house Gym instructor and run my own business teaching classes in other fitness centres and halls.

I was lucky enough to run the New York Marathon twice raising £1,500 the first time for the Mac Millen Nurses and £2,000 the second time for Cancer Research. I also raised £500 for The Sue Rider
Hospice when I cycled 176 miles in two days from Cheltenham to Croyde in North Devon.

Then due to an injury of a growth plate near my right hip while I was a young dancer, my activities slowed down, until I found that indoor group cycling was about all I was able to teach and do in the way of exercise due to the lack of impact on the joints.

Eighteen months ago I had a hip replacement. I managed to get back on the bike 6 weeks after the operation for the first time. The first few times were a real struggle but gradually things improved and now I’m refreshed and ready to start teaching again. Indoor Group Cycling has been a great way to rehabilitate my hip joint because cycling is centered on the glutes, quadriceps, hip flexors and hamstring muscles in the upper leg. Now that I’m back to fitness I intend to restart my career again and you never know, maybe run another marathon!! I hope to see you at one of our body shaping classes soon.
